About IST
IMPACT Science and Technology, Inc. (IST) is a small business incorporated in February, 1995. IST has offices in Nashua, New Hampshire; Annapolis Junction, Maryland; and Aurora, Colorado, as well as personnel assigned to work at various customer facilities. IST employs over 185 individuals; we pride ourselves on having a solutions-oriented workforce of skilled professionals who can work independently, in teams, or integrated with the customer staff. IST’s mission is to listen and understand their customers’ needs, to develop best-value solutions to meet those needs and to exceed customers’ expectations delivering on schedule and within budget.
 
Systems Engineering
Services such as system requirements derivation and management, architecture definition and systems design are provided as part of a complete solution to our customers. IST tests, delivers and integrates systems and solutions at our customer’s sites.
Software Development
Software Development at IST is performed using high performance, enterprise class computing platforms to design and develop real time object-oriented applications in C++ and Java. In addition IST specializes in the development of Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) to compliment the real time application aspects of Digital Signal Processing, Command and Control, Data Acquisition, Visualization and Processing.
 
Custom Hardware Products
Our custom hardware products are developed through the use of PC design software and include the use of million gate Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA’s). Hardware is then tested utilizing a wide variety of powerful test equipment and integrated with other custom designed hardware and commercial off-the-shelf equipment.
 
Integration
IST’s Systems Engineering, Software Development, and custom hardware products are integrated and thoroughly tested prior to customer delivery. IST’s Integration work is accomplished on the deliverable hardware platforms such as VME based Chassis, SUN high-end computer platforms, and high performance storage subsystems.
 
Signals Analysis, Collection and Training
Our Staff has extensive experience in signals analysis, collection and training. IST specializes in P3, Specific Emitter Identification, stability and measurement and complex modulations. We perform signal and related weapon system threat assessments and evaluation.
